The deputies of the Albanian parliament have agreed to vote on the resolution condemning the attack of the Russian army in Ukraine.
The resolution proposed by the Socialist Party was approved by 123 votes in favor. As a symbolic sign, some deputies wore T-shirts with the flags of Ukraine and Albania.
The resolution supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This resolution calls for an immediate cessation of the use of force by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and for the withdrawal of Russian military forces from the territory of Ukraine according to internationally recognized borders.
The deputies of the assembly gave speeches in support of the issue of Ukraine.
The resolution promotes and supports the diplomatic activity and the measures taken by the Albanian government, in coordination with our strategic allies, the US and the EU, in support of the sovereignty of Ukraine and the principles of European security and the global order of relations between the states.
The session was also attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine, Volodymyr Shkurov in our country.
