A parade ship of Vladimir Putin, which the Russian president has used to inspect his fleet, was hit by a drone launched by Ukrainian forces, says The Sun.
The dramatic images show the moment when the Raptor class patrol boat was shot and set on fire, near Snake Island in the Black Sea as it tried to deliver supplies to troops stationed there.
Putin has used such a vessel named the 001 for fleet inspections in Sevastopol and St. Petersburg. But he may now have only three of the eight such patrol boats with which he started the war, due to their successful targeting by the Ukrainians.
The latter claim to have received information “that one of the wrecked Raptor boats in the area of Snake Island was Putin’s parade boat”. According to them, the tools of the Russian leader differ because in the part of the tail, they have the number 001 ″.
The remote-controlled bomb was dropped by a Bayraktar TB2 drone near the island, near the port of Odessa. Snake Island has gained legendary status for Ukraine since a group of border guards guarding it told a Russian ship that it had surrendered to the devil. The Russian ship that was attacking them, Moscow, was later hit by a rocket and sank near this island.
