The eruption of a volcano near the South Pacific on the island of Tonga, has caused a number of places in the Pacific to sound the tsunami alarm.
Following the underwater eruption of the volcano, which brought a tsunami to the island state of Tonga, the meteorological institute in Australia, has announced that there is a risk of sea turbulence off the east coast of Australia.
Citizens are advised to enter at least one kilometer within safe areas, or stay at 10 meters above sea level.
Judging by the satellite images, the explosion was similar to that of a nuclear bomb, which immediately created a kind of “mushroom” that raised water and part of the soil.
The tsunami was felt from Australia, Hawaii, Japan and even Alaska, where alarms were sounded to warn citizens of floods.
