The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj received in a meeting the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso, with whom he discussed the initiatives for green cities and the important investment in the Water Supply and Sewerage Tirana, for the supply of the capital with 24 hours drinking water.
The Municipality of Tirana has drafted the Green City Action Plan in 2018 within the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Green Cities Program. Thanks to good management as an enterprise, the EBRD allocated a loan in 2018 for Tirana Water and Sewerage, in order to expand the capacity of the Bovilla Water Treatment Plant and to build a new pipeline.
