Two bullets struck former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as he was giving a speech at the podium in the southern city of Nara on Friday morning.
The 67-year-old remained for several hours in clinical death, until he passed away.
One bullet hit him in the neck, while the other bullet (which is suspected to have only touched him) in the chest.
The videos circulating on social networks show the moment, when among the crowd, the bullets go towards the former prime minister, who falls to the ground and loses a large amount of blood.

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemned the attack, saying the perpetrator is a barbarian who will not be tolerated.
Witnesses at the scene said they saw a man holding a large gun in his hand and fired twice at the politician, who was giving a speech for the Liberal Democratic Party.
Officers detained the attacker, who made no attempt to run, and seized his weapon, which is believed to be a hand-made weapon.
The suspect has been identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, a former member of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, the equivalent of the Japanese navy.
