Gunshots were heard a few minutes ago in downtown Kiev.
A little earlier the sirens sounded and then several bursts of automatic weapons.
In the late hours of Friday, the Russians intensified their attacks on Ukraine, and the southern city of Mikolaiv was bombed.
Videos posted on social media showed multiple fires in the area while Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Administration, said there were also attacks near Guryivka, north of the city.
Kim said the bombings were hitting indiscriminately, even civilian targets including a cafe and an apartment block. If Mykolaiv falls, Russia will be increasingly close to controlling the entire southern coast, which would be symbolically and strategically important.
