As we are only a few days away from the turn of the year, the Technical Committee of Experts has decided that there should be no relief or restriction of measures to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Rakacolli said that the measures will not be eased despite the figures, adding that for several weeks, in our country there has been a stable situation.
For this reason, they have decided that there will be no curfews on New Year’s Eve.
Rakacolli: The virus has never been in the same distribution all over the world. Each country has had its own levels of infection. In Albania, for more than 6-7 weeks we have a stable situation. The incidence has continued to be the same, perhaps in a period with a slight downward trend. Now we thought this level of measures should be what it is, then let’s see.
Question: Why aren’t the measures eased?
Rakacolli: These numbers correspond to this level of measures. With these numbers there is no room for either relief or improvement.
