After the publication of the DASH report, the American embassy in Tirana reacted, similar to the position of Secretary Blinken.
But the embassy announcement, in addition to commenting on the highly critical report to Albania on the impunity of corrupt officials, seems to turn fire on Sali Berisha, who recently accused Ambassador Yuri Kim of personally influencing court rulings in the case of Democratic Party.
In the post distributed by the American embassy in Tirana, it is said that “Albania must have an independent judiciary, free from political pressure, intimidation or corruption.
“The United States strongly supports justice reform to end impunity, accountability for corrupt officials & organized crime, and strengthening the rule of law in Albania.”
