The chairwoman of the German Bundestag Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid, German Liberal Party (FDP) MP Renata Alt, said after Aleksandar Vucic’s statement about Kosovo for DW: “Vucic shows that he does not care long-term normalization of relations with his neighbor. The sharp tones from Belgrade aggravate the tense situation between the two countries. The fact that Vucic is simultaneously increasing co-operation with the Kremlin and refusing to join sanctions against Russia is diametrically opposed to EU foreign policy. “Therefore, the negotiations for Serbia’s accession to the EU must be set up immediately.”

Serbia and Russia strengthen partnership
In a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Serbian President agreed that Serbia would continue to receive gas supplies from Russia for another three years. Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic also agreed during the phone call to strengthen the partnership. According to Russian data, Putin and Vucic also discussed the situation in Ukraine and Kosovo.DW
