Socialist MP Luljeta Bozo says that citizens should show solidarity with the economic crisis that has affected the country and the world, as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Invited to the show “Top Talk”, Bozo says that people should show solidarity with the situation.
“People need to be made aware that they have eyes on their foreheads… they go every day to buy and immediately signal, groups come, check and take action. This is an emergency situation”.
Speaking about pensions, the engineer says that the increase of 3,000 ALL, calculated as a subsidy to cope with the increase in prices for basket products, is also calculated based on inflation. According to her, now that taxes on salaries below 40,000 ALL have been removed, in the coming years insurance will increase and consequently pensions.
“3,000 is the supplement received by a pensioner who receives half of the minimum line (32,000 ALL from April 1). It has been calculated that the higher the inflation, the more all pensions will be compensated. They will be indexed, and that is help.
We all need to be very objective to signal where we need to be when things go wrong. You should know that pensions do not come from the work that people have done. People who worked 30-40 years ago paid insurance, reports are broken.
Now it will start little by little, year after year, since the taxes for the salary below 40,000 lek were removed, they will have the opportunity to accumulate more insurance, more money and gradually the pension will be raised and there is no way to increase it otherwise ”.
Asked if the abolition of VAT is necessary to bring down prices for basket and hydrocarbon products, Bozo says it would not affect.
“The reduction of VAT for the consumer has no result. The state subsidizes 80% of the energy, of what we pay at home, where does the state get this money from ”.
The government has advised citizens to save, however most of the MPs and the cabinet of the government appear in the working premises with car and personal drivers. Bozo says services to government officials have been reduced, however such luxury services need to be considered in a time of crisis.
“They have been reduced to the maximum possible. Expenditures on government services have been reduced to a minimum. “These things do not carry much weight, although I do not discuss that should be taken into account.”.
