The new Judicial Map proposed by the HJC and the Minister of Justice has found the support of the Elbasan Bar Association.
This is also due to the fact that Elbasan is already physically very close to Tirana. But the Chamber of Advocates argues that such a division would reduce the time it takes to process a case.
The Elbasan Chamber of Advocates further judges that on similar issues Albanian citizens have faced different decisions. The establishment of an Court of Appeals in Tirana will also affect the unification of the administration of justice.
The new Judicial Map provides for 12 courts of general jurisdiction and 1 court of appeal in Tirana, as a result, 10 courts are expected to be merged.
