Oliviero Marchese, director of IPSOS, the company that conducted the poll for the April 25 elections in cooperation with Top Channel, responded to the “Open” show about the sample and the methodology used.
He found that the group of interviewers are exclusive to IPSOS, not to other companies.
Were the questions conducted in the field or by telephone?
Marchese: They answered the phone. Phone numbers are hidden and random. We have a selection in every family. 90% were called and 10% were interviewed online. A category of young people is more difficult to reach, so we chose the online method.
The interviewers are IPSOS, not other companies and are exclusive.
The sample is 1527 people, it is enough for a sample for other countries and why in the north where it is thought that there is great support only 18% were interviewed?
Marchese: The interviews are proportional to the weight of each province. The population is proportionally represented and IPSOS has been conducting interviews in Albania for 20 years and we know well how to do a sampling in Albania.
