On the outskirts of the town of Dolní Morava, in the north-east of the Czech Republic, tourists come to experience the adrenaline at Sky Bridge 721, a 721-meter-long suspension bridge that opened on May 13 and is the world’s longest suspension bridge for pedestrians.
The bridge, which is 120 cm wide and 95 meters high, connects two peaks of Mount Kralicky Snezník.
“For the first time we opened the bridge for visitors on May 13, which was Friday, a funny date. Of course we were not afraid of Friday the 13th nor were our visitors afraid because they came to spend it with us. “Sky Bridge was a way to bring something unusual, unique, and the bridge actually offers an adrenaline-fueled experience you will not find anywhere else in the Czech Republic.”
“I do not like heights and I have never been to a place like this. But it was good. “
Along its 721 meters, visitors will reach the highest point at 95 meters above ground level – 1,116 above sea level.
Six main support ropes and another 60 ropes of different diameters hold it suspended to create a passageway for those who are brave.
