The race of Albanian parties in Serbia’s parliamentary elections with two separate lists left Albanians with low chances of representation in the Assembly.
This division also spread to the local level where the Democratic Alternative of Albanians, led by Shqiprim Arifi, dismissed the mayor of Presevo, Ardita Sinani.
She says that Arif’s action was revenge and coup against her, adding that the consequences will be borne by the people of Presevo and the whole Valley.
However, Shqiprim Arifi justifies his action for dismissal with the fact that Sinan mismanaged in Presevo. While denying that there are divisions of the Albanians of the Valley.
One week after the April 3 parliamentary elections, the Presevo Municipal Assembly fired Ardita Sinani, the assembly members elected the new cabinet the same day and entrusted the position of leader to Shqiprim Arif.
