The incident two days ago in Maliq where a young man was found drowned in a reservoir, turns out to have been a murder.
The disappearance of the citizen with the initials M.Ç. denounced by his father, while after the search, the dead body of the young man was found in the reservoir of the village of Kolanec. The victim had marks on his throat, which prompted the prosecution to investigate the murder plot. Following the investigation, it turns out that on June 12, three citizens strangled the 26-year-old and then threw the body in the tank to stage it as suicide. The suspected perpetrators of the murder, which according to information was for banal motives related to a girl, have been identified as Bleti Angjo, 38 years old; Valter Mollaj, 43 years old and Edlir Mollaj, 35 years old.

Following the work for the clarification and complete documentation with legal evidence of the event that occurred two days ago, in the reservoir of the village Kolanec, Maliq, where was found dead citizen M. Ç., 26 years old, resident in this village, i who was removed from the apartment, the specialists of the Crime Investigation Sector in the Local Police Directorate of Korça, in cooperation with the Maliq Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecution at the Korça Judicial District Court, successfully finalized the operation codenamed “Marjani”. As a result of this operation, the three suspected perpetrators of this event, citizens, were detained:
– BA, 38 years old, resident of Peshkëpi village, Pogradec (previously convicted of theft);
– VM, 43 years old, resident in the village of Marjan, Korça;
– EM, 35 years old, resident in the village of Marjan, Korça.
The Police Services, after removing the dead body of 26-year-old M. Ç. From the tank, have created suspicions that it was a criminal event, since during the examination, on the body of the 26-year-old, signs were found in the part of the throat.
Thanks to the professional investigative work, evidence and information gathered by the investigative group, it was documented that the three citizens arrested, in cooperation with each other, on 12.06.2022, took the victim M. Ç., In the village of Kolanec, and after killed (strangled), for weak motives, dumped his body in the tank, to cover the event and to stage a suicide of the 26-year-old.
